The catalog specifies an electropolished 316L stainless-steel housing and high-transmissivity viewing glass, with a sun shroud and heater/window-defroster provisions.
A camera can look clear during the day, yet lose detail when its internal IR illumination switches on at night. Behind a housing window, reflected IR can return to the lens and create glare, haze and ghost images.

Putting an IR camera inside a separate housing can let its own illumination reflect from the glass back into the lens. This can mask vessel fittings, bolts and pipe details. It is an internal-reflection and glare effect, sometimes described as a “prism effect”; it is not caused by glass thickness alone.
The SGC-EX LS uses a Sony IMX291 STARVIS sensor and, in the configuration specified by Stanklin, emits no IR or white light. It uses available ambient light for low-light color imaging, avoiding glare from its own illuminator behind the window.
Low light, not zero light. Color detail requires some visible ambient light. Results depend on light level, exposure, lens, glass condition and subject movement. Absolute darkness requires an appropriate external lighting solution.

The catalog specifies a Sony IMX291 STARVIS sensor for Full HD imaging. Wide dynamic range helps manage scenes with strong brightness differences, while day/night switching, an IR-cut filter and 3D noise filtering support changing lighting conditions.
Stanklin uses Sony image sensors across its camera range.

IP Ethernet connectivity and third-party NVR compatibility support integration with your monitoring setup. The catalog also lists optional SFP/FSFP transmission modules for fiber, Ethernet-over-coax and UTP configurations.
H.264 / MJPEG encoding and two simultaneous streams, with stream settings matched to bandwidth and recording needs.
Password protection, multilingual menus, browser-based setup and remote soft-reset capability.
Motion zones, directional crossing, loitering, object counting/removal, stopped-vehicle and sabotage alerts are catalog-listed analytics options; software is not included in the base package.
Intelligent protection. A timely response.
Respond to a person entering your protected zone. Human detection helps distinguish people from animals, moving trees and passing vehicles, so your alarm responds to the activity that matters.
System feature overview: AI events, NVR integration and external alarm outputs depend on the selected camera model and connected equipment. Check this model’s specifications when planning your system.

External siren triggered · Event recorded
Set an intrusion zone and active hours. The camera analyses the scene and triggers the selected human rule, reducing unwanted alerts from animals and general motion.
The camera sends the event to your NVR. Timestamped recordings and event snapshots help you find the incident and review what happened before and after it.
A configured human intrusion can activate a connected external siren or spoken warning through a supported camera output, helping discourage an intruder from proceeding.
Get an intrusion notification on your mobile phone. Open the connected app to check the camera view and assess the event, even when you are away.
All Stanklin NVR channels support AI events from compatible connected cameras. Detection takes place in each camera; the NVR brings the events and recordings together. Combine human detection, timestamped evidence, an audible warning and a mobile alert for stronger active deterrence.
External siren operation requires a compatible camera output and connected siren or speaker. Mobile alerts require app setup and network connectivity. Configure detection zones, schedules and alarm actions for your installation. Detection accuracy varies with the scene and installation.
