Cookie Policy

Cookies, browser storage and the controls available to you.

Last revised: 15 October 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains cookies, local storage and related technologies used by the Stanklin website, their purposes and the choices available to you. It covers this website rather than every camera, recorder, mobile application or third-party website. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy. The inventory reflects the website implementation reviewed on 15 October 2026. We update this policy as website technologies change.

2. Cookies and other technologies

A cookie is a small value a website asks your browser to store. Depending on its settings, your browser sends it back with later requests to that website. Session cookies normally last for a browsing session; persistent cookies remain until their expiry or deletion. Browser settings can change this behaviour. Cookies can support a requested function or identify a browser over time.

Local storage is different: it stores values in your browser for a particular website and is not automatically attached to every web request. Website scripts can read these values. Local storage generally has no built-in expiry. Clearing cookies alone may not clear local storage, so use the full site-data controls to remove both.

First-party technologies operate within the site you visit. Third-party services, such as an embedded map, may receive connection information and use their own storage. A remote image or other resource can transmit information without setting a cookie. Private browsing does not prevent all such requests.

3. Current storage inventory

This is a brand and product-information website. It does not provide a shopping cart, online checkout or payment processing. The current customer-facing pages do not create first-party cart storage. No first-party analytics or advertising-cookie integration was identified in the reviewed implementation. This does not establish that third-party embeds or the production hosting platform set no cookies.

4. Necessary, functional and optional uses

Necessary technologies support a service you explicitly request, such as protecting an enquiry form against repeated submissions. Functional technologies remember optional settings. Analytics technologies measure usage, and advertising technologies can associate browsing with advertising interests. These categories describe purposes; they do not mean every category is active on this website.

Where the law requires consent for a technology, it must not be activated before that consent. Continuing to browse or accepting the Website Terms is not, by itself, permission for optional tracking. The current website does not provide an analytics or advertising preference centre. This page does not display switches that merely save a preference without controlling the relevant technology.

5. Google Maps and external content

The contact page currently contains an embedded Google map. Opening that page can contact Google automatically when the map loads, before you interact with it. Google may process IP address, browser and device information under its Privacy Policy and cookie information. Storage may vary with your region, browser and Google sign-in state.

To avoid the map request, contact us directly by email or telephone instead of opening the contact page, or use browser settings that block third-party content. Blocking third-party cookies alone may not stop the request.

Following an external link takes you to a separately operated service. Review its own notices and settings before supplying information. Stanklin cannot clear that provider’s cookies through this website.

6. Managing your browser data

In your browser’s privacy or site-permission settings, locate Stanklin under stored site data. You can inspect entries, remove data for this website, block third-party cookies or choose to clear data on closing the browser. Menu names may include Cookies and site data, Website data or Site settings. Consult the help for your browser and version.

Clearing data may reset any saved website preferences. On a shared computer, close your session and clear relevant site data when appropriate. Private browsing may limit persistence after the private window closes, but does not make the connection anonymous. Repeat your settings on each browser and device you use.

Deleting cookies and local storage does not delete enquiries already sent by email, newsletter requests or server-side records. For those records, use the privacy contact route. You can still contact Stanklin by email if blocking browser storage affects a feature.

7. Server records and security controls

Web requests can generate operational records independently of cookies. The enquiry handler hashes the requesting IP address and maintains counters to limit repeated submissions. These are server-side security records, not browser cookies. A hashed address may still be personal information. Clearing your browser storage does not delete it.

The rate-limit window is one hour, with expired entries removed when a later valid submission triggers cleanup. There is no scheduled deletion job in the reviewed handler, so inactive entries can remain longer. Contact us for information about retention of hosting and email logs relevant to your request. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Changes and contact

We will revise this inventory when technologies or providers change. A new optional technology or purpose may require new notice and a consent choice before activation. The revision date identifies this version. If you find an unexplained storage entry, send its name and the relevant URL without sending sensitive browser data or passwords.
