Privacy Policy
How website enquiries and personal information are handled.
Last revised: 15 October 2026
1. Scope and responsibility
This policy describes information handled through Stanklin’s website: product enquiries, support correspondence, dealer requests, business programmes and newsletter requests. It explains collection, purposes, recipients, retention and your choices. Visiting this website is not permission for unrelated marketing or surveillance.
The current headquarters contact is listed below. Separate notices or contracts may apply to purchases, installer services, mobile applications and cloud services. This website notice does not describe all processing by those services.
2. Information you supply
General contact forms request your name, email address and message. Consultation and corporate-purchasing forms can also request your organisation and project details. Dealer-location requests ask for your country and email address to enable a relevant response.
Partner and non-profit applications may request organisation name, business role, website, contact details, address, registration number, organisation type, industry and project information. The fields vary by programme. Required fields are identified on the form; without information needed for a request, we may be unable to assess it or reply.
Upgrade enquiries ask about existing equipment, including brand, model, quantity, use and the issue you want to resolve. You can attach up to six JPEG, PNG or WebP equipment photographs with a combined size of 10 MB. Photographs can contain faces, addresses, serial numbers and location metadata. Remove information that is unnecessary before uploading.
Newsletter requests collect your email address. Direct emails and attachments also become part of your correspondence. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, private keys, unrestricted camera access or unnecessary identity documents. Provide other people’s information only where you have a lawful reason and authority to do so.
3. Information generated by use
Form submissions include the form type and source-page path so the team can understand your request. The server receives connection information needed to process it. The enquiry handler hashes IP addresses for submission counters and abuse prevention. A hashed IP address is not treated as necessarily anonymous.
Hosting and email systems may generate access, delivery, error and security logs. Their contents and retention depend on the relevant provider and service. Contact us for details relevant to your information. Browser cart storage and the contact-page Google Maps embed are explained in our Cookie Policy. No first-party advertising or analytics integration was identified in the reviewed website implementation.
4. Purposes and legal grounds
We use enquiry information to answer questions, explain products, prepare requested proposals, assess programme applications, identify suitable dealers and provide support. Where applicable, this processing is necessary to take steps you request before a contract or to fulfil a contract. An enquiry does not itself guarantee an order or programme acceptance.
Limited technical information supports website operation, message delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Where the applicable law recognises legitimate interests, those interests must be balanced against your rights and use no more information than reasonably necessary. Where a different legal basis is required, it must apply instead.
Information may also be processed to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful demands or establish and defend claims. Optional newsletter marketing requires consent or other permission required by applicable law. A support enquiry does not automatically enrol you in marketing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5. Form delivery and attachments
On hosting where email delivery is enabled, the website enquiry handler forwards submitted fields to info@stanklin.com through the configured email service. Equipment photographs are included as attachments. The handler does not intentionally save enquiry contents in a public website directory. Temporary upload files and email copies are separate from public website files.
A successful submission confirms the handler’s email handoff, not that staff have reviewed or accepted the request. If email delivery is unavailable, contact us directly. A mailto link opens your email application; your email provider then handles that message under its own arrangements.
6. Recipients and sharing
Relevant Stanklin staff may access information to handle your request. Hosting and email providers process the messages and technical information necessary to supply their services. Contact us for information about the providers, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
Where a referral to an installer, distributor or service partner is needed, we will explain it and obtain permission where required before sharing your details. A dealer-location request can be answered by sending dealer information to you; it does not inherently authorise broadcasting your details to dealers. Independent sellers may have their own privacy notices.
Disclosure may be necessary under a valid legal demand or to investigate fraud, protect safety or defend legal rights, subject to applicable law. Information involved in a business transfer must continue to receive the protection and notice required by law. This policy does not authorise selling enquiry records or unrelated advertising uses.
7. One-year retention policy
Enquiry and newsletter records are retained for one year. Enquiries, related correspondence and supplied photographs are scheduled for deletion or anonymisation one year after receipt. A separate new enquiry has its own period; follow-up correspondence should not be used to extend the original record indefinitely.
Newsletter contact records are retained for up to one year from subscription unless you unsubscribe earlier. Retention beyond that period requires renewal or another applicable basis communicated to you. A limited suppression record may be necessary to respect an unsubscribe request and prevent accidental re-enrolment.
An unresolved dispute or binding legal obligation may require longer retention of relevant records, limited to that purpose. Ask us for the reason and applicable period. Deletion from active systems may not immediately erase protected backup copies. Contact us about the backup retention arrangements relevant to your information. The one-year retention period applies to enquiry and newsletter records. Clearing website data in your browser does not delete messages from email systems.
The form handler uses a one-hour rate-limit window. It removes expired IP-hash counters when a later valid submission triggers cleanup; without further requests, an entry can remain longer. Cart storage has no programmed expiry and remains until cleared. Hosting and email logs have separate retention periods; contact us for information about the records relevant to your request.
8. International handling
The headquarters contact displayed on this website is in Taiwan, where enquiries may be handled by staff. Hosting, email and external-service processing can also occur elsewhere. Countries can provide different protections for personal information. Contact us for the processing locations relevant to your enquiry.
Where applicable law restricts overseas transfers, an appropriate legal mechanism and any required additional safeguards must be in place before transfer. Contact us to ask about recipients, locations and safeguards relevant to your information.
9. Security
The form handler validates required fields and email addresses, restricts upload formats and sizes, checks request origin when supplied, and applies submission limits. These controls address particular risks but do not guarantee the security of hosting, email or staff systems. Use the HTTPS version of the public website and submit only information needed for the request.
No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Access controls, provider configuration, maintenance and retention procedures remain operational responsibilities. Incidents involving personal information must be assessed and notified as required by applicable law. Report suspected vulnerabilities through our product security page, without disclosing private recordings or credentials.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on the applicable law and processing, you may request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an explanation. You may be able to object to processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing, and withdraw consent. Rights can have lawful exceptions; we will explain any relevant limitation rather than treating every request as automatically granted or refused.
Email info@stanklin.com with the subject Privacy request, your country, preferred reply address and enough information to locate your enquiry. Do not send a password or identity document initially. Proportionate verification may be needed to avoid disclosure to the wrong person. Requests will be handled within the time required by applicable law.
Unsubscribe using an available unsubscribe route or email us. Necessary replies about an existing request can continue. You may complain to the relevant privacy authority where the law provides that right. Website use does not waive your rights. No solely automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects was identified in the enquiry workflow; input validation and anti-abuse limits are technical controls.
11. Camera recordings and connected services
Visiting the website does not give Stanklin access to camera live views or recordings. Footage voluntarily supplied for support is different and should be limited to what is necessary. A local-recording product description does not establish that every mobile app, notification or remote-viewing service operates without third-party processing. Review the notice for the exact service used.
Camera-system operators are responsible for lawful placement, recording, notices and access controls. This policy does not give permission to record other people. Independent installers or cloud-service operators may have different responsibilities under their own notices.
12. Children, changes and contact
Website enquiry and purchasing services are intended for adults and business representatives, not for collecting information from children. Parents or guardians who believe a child has supplied personal information can contact us for review and deletion where appropriate.
Material revisions will be dated and additional notice provided where required. A policy change does not retroactively provide consent for a new purpose. Contact us about a particular request or record using the details below.
