STANKLIN · POLICIES

Website Terms of Use

Terms for product information, downloads and website enquiries.

Last revised: 15 October 2026

1. Scope and separate agreements

These terms address access to Stanklin’s website, product information, articles, illustrations, downloads and enquiry features. They govern website use rather than replacing a quotation, sales agreement, product warranty, software licence or installer contract. If acting for an organisation, you must have authority to submit its information or make commitments on its behalf.

Read these terms before using the website. If you disagree, stop using the affected service. Any assent required for a transaction must be obtained through its relevant process. A website visit is not consent to optional tracking or marketing.

2. Product information and suitability

Product pages help you compare equipment and plan an enquiry. Confirm the exact model, hardware revision, regional availability and current datasheet before ordering or installing equipment. Features can depend on firmware, compatible components, configuration and network conditions. Illustrations do not establish that every depicted component is included.

Resolution descriptions, detection illustrations and night-vision examples must be read with the model’s specifications and stated conditions. Detection does not guarantee identification of every event; face detection is not a promise of identity recognition. Security equipment does not guarantee prevention of theft, injury or other loss.

We aim to correct identified errors. Contact us if a webpage conflicts with current model documentation. Website changes do not unilaterally amend an agreed purchase or remove mandatory consumer rights. Confirm regional certifications, suitability and installation requirements with the supplier and a competent installer.

3. Enquiries, purchases and programmes

Sending a form, requesting a dealer, subscribing to a newsletter or saving cart selections does not itself create an order, reserved stock, dealership, approved warranty claim or programme entitlement. A submission acknowledgement indicates receipt or technical delivery, not commercial acceptance.

Before buying, obtain written confirmation of the product, quantity, price, currency, taxes, delivery, payment conditions, cancellation arrangements and warranty from the seller. Discounts and incentives depend on the applicable written offer and eligibility conditions. A general programme description is not an unconditional promise.

Independent sellers and installers supply under their own agreements. Those agreements identify their responsibilities. These website terms do not make Stanklin a party to every third-party transaction, or remove obligations that Stanklin has expressly accepted.

4. Content and intellectual property

You may view the website and download materials made available for evaluating, installing, operating or maintaining relevant products, subject to document-specific licences. Retain copyright, trademark and safety notices. Do not present altered specifications as official documentation.

Stanklin and the applicable rights holders retain ownership of protected text, photographs, artwork, trademarks and other materials. Access does not transfer ownership. Obtain permission before republishing substantial content commercially, using branding to imply an official partnership or presenting another party’s work as your own. Uses permitted by applicable law remain permitted.

You may link accurately to public pages without implying an endorsement that does not exist. Do not frame the website misleadingly, conceal its source or bypass access restrictions. Ask our team for permission to use promotional materials.

5. Software, firmware and downloads

Software, firmware, sample files and tools may carry separate licences, including open-source licences. Those terms govern the relevant material and prevail over conflicting general website provisions for that material. Do not remove licence notices or assume a download grants unrestricted modification or redistribution rights.

Use firmware only with the exact supported model and hardware revision. Read release notes, preserve necessary configuration, maintain stable power and follow the documented upgrade procedure. Contact support if compatibility is uncertain. A download’s availability does not guarantee suitability for unrelated equipment or every installation.

Do not distribute maliciously modified files or misrepresent unofficial software as an official release. Restrictions concerning reverse engineering or interoperability remain subject to rights and exceptions under applicable law. Reading a product page does not create a software licence or support entitlement.

6. Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and respect others’ privacy and rights. Do not submit fraudulent requests, impersonate another person, upload malware, send unlawful or infringing content or disclose other people’s credentials. Forms must not be used for unsolicited bulk messaging.

Do not bypass authentication, enter non-public systems without authorisation, disrupt service or place an unreasonable load on the website. Automated access must respect access restrictions and must not impair normal use. These terms do not authorise testing connected cameras, customer installations or third-party networks.

Report suspected vulnerabilities through our product security contact route. Avoid unnecessary extraction of personal information, changes to customer data or disruption. A report is not permission for further testing beyond an agreed scope.

7. Submissions and photographs

Provide accurate, relevant information you are entitled to share. Remove unnecessary faces, location information, access codes and confidential material from equipment photographs. Obtain authority before submitting another person’s or organisation’s information.

You retain rights in your submissions. Sending material for an enquiry authorises handling reasonably needed to receive, review and answer that enquiry, subject to the Privacy Policy and law. It does not give Stanklin a general right to publish your photographs or use your message as a testimonial; separate permission is needed.

Unsafe, irrelevant or abusive submissions may be declined and proportionate anti-spam controls applied. Keep your own copy of important records. The enquiry feature is not a document archive or emergency response service. Use the appropriate emergency service for immediate threats to safety.

8. Privacy and surveillance responsibilities

Our Privacy Policy describes enquiry information and privacy rights. The Cookie Policy describes local storage and external content. These notices are not blanket permission for unrelated processing.

You are responsible for lawful use of your surveillance installation, including appropriate notices, recording practices and access permissions. Visiting this website does not give us remote camera access. Separate applications and cloud services have their own privacy and contractual arrangements.

9. External resources

Links, embedded maps and external resources may be supplied for convenience. Third parties control their content, services, terms, data handling and availability. Read their notices before using services or submitting information.

A link does not establish endorsement of every statement or a guarantee of third-party performance. Links may be changed or removed if unsuitable. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that applicable law places on Stanklin for its own conduct.

10. Availability and revisions

Maintenance, faults, security incidents or network conditions can interrupt access. Continuous availability of every page and feature is not promised. Use alternative contact channels when a form or download is unavailable.

Content and features may be corrected, revised or temporarily suspended for operational or security reasons. Access restrictions should be proportionate to the issue. A website change does not automatically end a separate purchase, software or support agreement.

Revised terms will show a new date and material changes will be communicated as required by law. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove accrued rights. Separate agreements are changed only through their applicable process.

11. Website information and liability

Website materials provide general product information and planning guidance. They are not a site survey, professional installation assessment or guarantee of suitability for a particular risk. Confirm requirements using current documentation and competent advice.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, no additional warranty of uninterrupted website access or suitability of general information is given beyond an applicable express agreement. Losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control or misuse contrary to clear instructions are not our responsibility except where law imposes responsibility.

Any limitation is subject to mandatory law. These terms do not exclude fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, liability for death or personal injury where it cannot lawfully be excluded, statutory consumer rights or other non-excludable responsibilities. Product warranties and agreed remedies remain governed by their own terms. No blanket exclusion of all direct losses is intended.

12. Applicable law and resolving concerns

Contact us with the relevant page, transaction or correspondence so we can investigate. This informal route does not prevent urgent remedies, a regulatory complaint or a claim within a legal deadline.

These website terms do not impose compulsory arbitration or an exclusive foreign court. The applicable law and courts are determined by the rules relevant to the parties and dispute, subject to any valid separate agreement. Mandatory protections in your jurisdiction remain available.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to the extent lawful. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not necessarily waive it on another. Separate sales, product and software agreements govern their own subject matter; these terms do not silently replace them.

13. Contact

For website questions, permission to use materials or corrections to a product page, provide the relevant URL and a short description. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
