RISKS TO PLAN FOR

Understand the risks in your sector.

Use these common scenarios to identify the areas that need attention at your site.

Cash and transaction disputes

Busy tills and shift handovers can make payment discrepancies harder to review.

Delivery and stock loss

Unattended service entrances and deliveries can expose food supplies and equipment.

Slips and blocked routes

Spills and obstacles in shared service routes can contribute to accidents.

Illustrative scenarios. Cameras can help staff review events; combine coverage with appropriate access controls, safe working practices and on-site procedures.

START WITH THE SPACE

Put the important areas in view.

01

Reception & dining

Use unobtrusive indoor domes for entrances and shared dining areas. Check the view in both daylight and evening service lighting.

02

Service handovers

Cover collection counters and staff access points. Choose a view that shows the handover clearly, keeping heat and steam away from the camera.

03

Deliveries & closing

Use an outdoor-rated camera at the delivery entrance. Include the surrounding approach to see arrivals and the route taken after a door opens.

FROM EVENTS TO UNDERSTANDING

See the moment.
Review the context.

Continuous NVR recording lets you review service activity in sequence. Human-event snapshots help locate a relevant arrival without relying on memory of an exact time.

Face detection captures a face snapshot; it does not identify who a person is. Choose camera positions and recording settings around the detail you need.

BUILD YOUR SYSTEM

A starting point for your project.

Confirm model suitability, coverage and storage with your installer.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

A better plan starts on site.

List entrances, delivery times, low-light areas and hot or humid locations. Agree which shared areas need recording before selecting camera positions.

Will the camera work beside cooking equipment?

Placement needs to respect the selected model’s environment rating. Avoid direct heat, grease and steam; use a suitable mounting position and assess the environment first.

How much recording can I keep?

Retention depends on camera count, bitrate, recording schedule and installed disks. Share your required retention period so storage can be sized for your system.
