RISKS TO PLAN FOR

Understand the risks in your sector.

Use these common scenarios to identify the areas that need attention at your site.

Unattended luggage

Bags left in public lobby areas can be taken or collected by the wrong person.

Service-area access

Uncontrolled service doors can expose storage rooms and staff-only routes.

Entrance incidents

Wet floors and busy arrival areas can lead to falls or disputes about what happened.

Illustrative scenarios. Cameras can help staff review events; combine coverage with appropriate access controls, safe working practices and on-site procedures.

START WITH THE SPACE

Put the important areas in view.

01

Lobby & reception

Use indoor dome cameras for the main arrival route and reception approach. Check reflections from glazed walls and polished surfaces.

02

Public corridors

Place cameras to see intersections and access points. Several focused views often offer more useful detail than one long view down an entire corridor.

03

Service & parking

Cover staff entrances, loading areas and car-park approaches with outdoor-rated models. Separate vehicle access from pedestrian entry where practical.

FROM EVENTS TO UNDERSTANDING

See the moment.
Review the context.

Local NVR recording gives a chronological record across the property. Human-event snapshots and supported search tools help a reviewer find the relevant time and camera.

Face detection captures a face snapshot; it does not identify who a person is. Choose camera positions and recording settings around the detail you need.

BUILD YOUR SYSTEM

A starting point for your project.

Confirm model suitability, coverage and storage with your installer.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

A better plan starts on site.

Separate guest-room and private areas from public coverage. Include building levels, lift lobbies and cable routes in the coverage plan; avoid claiming complete coverage from camera count alone.

Can the system cover multiple floors?

Yes, a system can be planned across floors using a suitable wired network and recorder capacity. Cable distances, switching and the final camera count need to be designed for the building.

How much recording can I keep?

Retention depends on camera count, bitrate, recording schedule and installed disks. Share your required retention period so storage can be sized for your system.
