RISKS TO PLAN FOR

Understand the risks in your sector.

Use these common scenarios to identify the areas that need attention at your site.

Unauthorised entry

Open gates and shared entrances can allow access without a membership check.

Unattended belongings

Phones, bags and other valuables left on the training floor can go missing.

Training-floor incidents

Loose weights and busy equipment aisles can create trip hazards and disputed incidents.

Illustrative scenarios. Cameras can help staff review events; combine coverage with appropriate access controls, safe working practices and on-site procedures.

START WITH THE SPACE

Put the important areas in view.

01

Reception

Frame the main entrance and reception approach. A clear arrival view helps staff review visitor activity and the sequence around an incident.

02

Training floor

Use multiple fixed views where equipment creates obstructions. Review each angle with the equipment in normal use, including busy class periods.

03

External access

Cover car-park approaches and after-hours entrances using outdoor-rated cameras. Check both the light level and the camera’s view after closing.

FROM EVENTS TO UNDERSTANDING

See the moment.
Review the context.

Camera-based human detection can highlight activity at selected entrances. The NVR brings the recordings together so staff can follow an event between public areas.

Face detection captures a face snapshot; it does not identify who a person is. Choose camera positions and recording settings around the detail you need.

BUILD YOUR SYSTEM

A starting point for your project.

Confirm model suitability, coverage and storage with your installer.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

A better plan starts on site.

Keep changing rooms, toilets and other private spaces outside camera coverage. Decide who needs access to footage and how it will be handled before installation.

Where should cameras be placed?

Focus on reception, entrances and agreed shared areas. Exclude private spaces and assess the field of view on site, including what appears in mirrors.

How much recording can I keep?

Retention depends on camera count, bitrate, recording schedule and installed disks. Share your required retention period so storage can be sized for your system.
