Plan for the hours after closing.
Match infrared, warm light and camera placement to the way your site looks at night.

Visit after dark
Daylight can hide the parts of a site that become difficult to see overnight. Check entrances, delivery areas and parking under their normal night lighting. Look for headlights, reflective signs and nearby surfaces that could reflect camera illumination back toward the lens.
Choose the mode deliberately
Colour-capable Stanklin models support colour, infrared and Smart Alert modes. Smart Alert switches on visible illumination and changes to colour when a person arrives. The S604-IR6-NFR is infrared-only, so choose the model and mode that suit the intended view.
Treat range as a planning input
The S604-WB12-NFD has six bi-core LEDs and supports up to 60 m infrared and warm-light ranges. Illumination range is not a guarantee that every small detail will be clear at that distance. Subject size, lens angle and the environment still determine useful recorded detail.
Test the whole recording
Have someone walk through the intended route and review the saved result. Check changes between night modes and whether important areas remain in view. Keep light sources clear of obstructions and repeat the check after the site layout changes.
