Choose recording capacity around your business.
Channels and disk capacity are separate choices. Here is how to plan both.

Count cameras, then consider growth
Stanklin NVR options include 10, 16 and 32 channels. A channel accommodates a camera stream; disk capacity determines how much footage can be stored at your chosen settings. Include planned additional cameras when deciding recorder capacity.
Compare the storage options
The 10- and 16-channel models support one SATA disk. The 32-channel H2 supports two, and the H4 supports four. Each SATA port supports up to 14 TB: maximum totals are 14 TB, 28 TB and 56 TB respectively. These are supported capacities, not included hard drives.
Define retention before buying disks
Recording duration depends on bitrate, camera count and recording schedule. Ask for a storage estimate based on the streams you intend to record. Continuous recording and event-focused settings can have very different storage needs, so do not choose disks using camera count alone.
Plan the equipment location
Give the recorder an appropriate secure location and design the wired network around the cameras. Confirm how authorised staff will find and export an event. Review actual storage consumption after commissioning and adjust the plan if the recording settings change.
